The program was one of the events commemorating the 10th anniversary of the murders at the Jewish Community Center and Village Shalom. On the panel was Mindy Corporon, the founder of the SevenDays nonprofit organization promoting kindness and understanding, and the mother and daughter, respectively, of Reat Underwood and Dr. William ... This Week's Torah Portion Parashat Metzora (Vayikra/Leviticus 14:1-15:33)
We read this week not only about skin diseases but also about how our homes become afflicted with fungus or mildew. The cleaning we do in our homes in anticipation of Pesach/Passover is both a physical cleaning and a spiritual cleaning, an opportunity to see the places where we live as having the potential to be sacred spaces.
