Welcome!
Welcome to Congregation Kol Ami – our community and our website. I am blessed that my Jewish journey has led me to be a part of this extraordinary group of caring and compassionate people, each on their own Jewish journey that has led them to each other, and to us. We welcome you, whoever you are and wherever you are on a Jewish path.
“Caring and compassionate” isn’t just a description of our community; it’s also a statement of our values and mission. We are committed to making sure that every person in our congregation knows they are valued. It leads us to pursue acts of tikkun olam, of social justice and community activism to improve our city, our country, K’lal Yisrael (the Jewish community around the globe), and our world. Our location in midtown Kansas City speaks to our intention to be a part of, and contributors to, a diverse urban community.
You are welcome to join with us for worship, learning or any Kol Ami project. I am always eager to talk with anyone about Kol Ami and Jewish life. Please feel free to contact me by email, at rabbidoug@kolamikc.org, or by phone, at 913-642-9000, to further discuss Kol Ami or any questions you may have.
B’Shalom - In Peace,
Rabbi Doug Alpert
