Yahrzeits this Week
May 2 Evelyn Dorrit Young - Friend of Lara Steinel
Rabbi Doug is on a short break, and his blog will return next week.
Are you missing Rabbi Doug's weekly blog? Hear his voice in an interview with KCUR early this year. On January 26th, Brian Ellison of KCUR spoke to Rabbi Doug and Reverend Laura Phillips of Overland Park Christian Church about the complexities of mixing religion with politics, and about how they prepared for the new Trump administration.
This Week's Torah Portion Parashat Tazria-Metzora
(Vayikra/Leviticus 12:1 - 15:33)
This week, we read of a variety of skin diseases. It raises questions about how we relate to people with physical ailments, and whether, as our Torah relates that there is some connection between our physical health and our mental health, and whether there is a connection between doing what is morally upright and our physical well-being. Call for Feedback: 2nd Night Seder
Thank you to those who attended our Second-Night Passover Seder on April 13th at Unity Temple on the Plaza. It was a wonderful evening filled with rituals, tasty food, and community. We had over 100 people in attendance! Please take a few minutes to fill out THIS SHORT SURVEY about the event. It helps us provide data for our grant funding.
