Shabbat Blessings
We gather together on Zoom as a community to make Shabbos this Friday, September 26, at 6:45 PM. It is a great way to celebrate Shabbos together while still having Shabbat in your own homes.
On non-holiday days we still gather together on weekday mornings on Zoom for a short fifteen minutes of prayer and study. Please join us. Kol Ami Events Mah Jongg Club
Kol Ami's Mah Jongg Club meets two Monday evenings a month at 7 PM. Email office@kolamikc.org for information.
Tashlich with Kansas City JVP
Join JVP (Jewish Voice for Peace KC) on Sept. 24 at 6:30 PM for Tashlich, the High Holiday ritual where we symbolically "cast off" the past year's sins. We will gather across from U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver's Kansas City office, along Brush Creek, to call on the congressman to co-sponsor the Block the Bombs Act H.R. 3565.

This Week's Torah Portion Parashat Vayelach
(Devarim/Deuteronomy 31:1-30)
This special week, during the Yamim Noraim-the Days of Awe from Rosh Hashanah thru Yom Kippur, we read of Moses passing the torch of leadership to Joshua. We learn that we must always look for new voices, and welcome in the next generation of leadership.
Celebrate Bowie!
Julia and Mel Bilquist are inviting the Kol Ami community to help celebrate the welcome of their new child Bowie, who will be given a Hebrew name on Saturday, September 27, at 2 PM, at the home of Fay and Rabbi Doug. If attending please RSVP to: rabbidoug@kolamikc.org.
October Community Lunch
Join us Wednesday, October 8, for a community lunch. We will meet at Bella Napoli (6229 Brookside Blvd.) at noon. Come have lunch (or a coffee) in good company. All are welcome, so bring a friend! Please RSVP to engagement@kolamikc.org
Don’t forget to check the website for upcoming services and study for Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.
