Rabbi's Week in Review
The Rabbi is away this week, and his blog will be back next week.
This Week's Torah Portion Parashat Lech Lecha
(Bereishit/Genesis 12:1-17:27)
In this week’s Torah portion, Avraham (at this point Avram) is instructed to Lech Lecha - to go forth for yourself. There are times where we have to overcome our fear of whatever unknown lies ahead, and courageously go forward in order to improve our place in the world. This may be a time that the collective “we” need to Lech Lecha to better the lot of all those who seek a more just and compassionate world.
