In this week’s news:
Kanye West tweets out a virulent anti-Semitic tweet, a lengthy public attack on Jews, saying in part, “I’m going death con 3 on Jewish People.”
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita defends the attack, asserting that it is hypocritical to speak out against Kanye’s hate-filled anti-Semitism, and referring to Kanye’s tweet as “independent thinking.”
Defending against this sort of dangerous anti-Semitism should be easy. Pay attention to the politicians who somehow justify, soft-pedal or fail to give a full-throated denouncement versus those political leaders who come to our defense, who call out this garbage, and who speak out clearly against the rise of anti-Semitism in our country over the last six years.
And, in a related story, Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville said …
"They [Democrats] aren't soft on crime. They're pro-crime. They want crime." He added: "They want reparations because they think the people who do the crime [Black people] are owed that."
Tuberville is talking about my friends, about leaders in our community and their kids.
The quiet parts are now being said out loud. When will the hate end?
