Rabbi's Week in Review Blog

This week will be the final weekly Kol Ami newsletter with Deborah Hirsch as our editor. The newsletter has had an enormous impact on our Kol Ami community. It has kept us informed. Of greater importance, it has kept us connected as a Jewish community at a time when staying connected has become increasingly difficult.

For me, Deborah has been editor extraordinaire. Her patient and kind feedback — e.g., “Did you mean to say … ?” “Would it be OK if you said … instead?” — has led me out of many grammatical faux pas and resulted in a much more readable blog.

The work of putting the newsletter together week after week is enormous. With this edition of the newsletter, Deborah passes the torch to Liz Epstein. Liz has contributed much to the betterment of our Kol Ami family over many years. I am looking forward to the contributions she will make in the role of newsletter editor with her background as teacher, her creativity and her knowledge.  

With that, I say to Deborah, I and we at Congregation Kol Ami are grateful for all you have done as newsletter editor. Todah rabah, thank you so much, and kol hakavod, all honor upon you.
