While there were many who stepped up, and I know I will leave someone(s) out, a profuse thanks goes to Brad Ordo who gave an enormous amount of time, heart, and soul to give over one hundred participants a meaningful Passover celebration. To our musicians...Read more.
This Week's Torah Portion Parashat Shemini (Vayikra/Leviticus 9:1 - 11:47)
This week, we read of Aaron’s two sons, Nadav and Avihu who bring an offering to G-d of foreign fire: an offering not commanded by G-d. For their trouble, they are punished by G-d with death. While a good argument can be made that the punishment is unjust, the question remains as to whether we are meeting the needs of the other based on their expressed needs, or giving a gift for our own aggrandizement.
Call for Feedback: 2nd Night Seder
Thank you to those who attended our Second-Night Passover Seder on April 13th at Unity Temple on the Plaza. It was a wonderful evening filled with rituals, tasty food, and community. We had over 100 people in attendance! Please take a few minutes to fill out THIS SHORT SURVEY about the event. It helps us provide data for our grant funding.
