Shavuot Study &
Traditional Dairy Meal
On Sunday, June 1, at 6 PM, at the home of Fay and Rabbi Doug, we will come together to celebrate Shavuot and receiving Torah. Looking forward to great Torah discussion and a traditional dairy meal will be served along with Fay’s famous Pan de Siete Cielos, bread of the seven heavens. RSVPs are needed to attend: rabbidoug@kolamikc.org. Look for the Rabbi's Friday reminder message for information about an observance on Friday, May 30th.
Kol Ami Events June Community Lunch

Book Club

I am writing in the late afternoon after being together for the funeral of Sarah Milgrim z”l. There is so much I could say about this horrific event, what implications it may (or may not) have for our Jewish community. I think it is way too soon for such a discussion, and I fear that many implications will be drawn that will do a disservice to Sarah’s many accomplishments, and be far from true...Read more.
This Week's Torah Portion Parashat Bamidbar (Bamidbar/Numbers 1:1-4:20)
We begin a new book with this week’s Torah portion, which takes an accounting of our wandering in the wilderness. While it is seen as a place and time of being lost, it can also be the place where we derive our greatest lessons. Let us be open to what we can learn, and hold on to our hope that our time in the wilderness will end, and we will see the day to a better world.
Community Event: Pride Shabbat
Join us on June 6 at All Souls for a vibrant and welcoming Pride Shabbat Service as we celebrate the intersection of Jewish and LGBTQ+ identities. This special evening will include traditional Shabbat prayers, spirited music, and reflections that honor the beauty of diversity and the power of community. All are welcome—come as you are and experience a joyful, inclusive space.
5-6 PM: Kids' activities & light nosh
6-7 PM: Shabbat service
7-8:30 PM: Dinner
